What are your earliest memories of techno music?

In 1995, at my early 15 years of age, I began my life as a raver in the city of Medellin – Colombia.

Iconic clubs and festivals in and out of the city always had the techno quota among their artists. Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Joy Kitikonti, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, among others.

The city has always been characterized by its electronic culture and its techno scene. Without knowing I was entering the world that would be my life.

Please tell us more about how ‘Willingness’ was conceived and created.

My most recent musical creation is a track called WILLINGNESS for the MFM Records label, by the great artist C-System, in a V / A called The chosen ones Vol. 3, where I have the honor of sharing with great artists of the world.

It was born in a moment of uncertainty in the midst of the crisis generated by the quarantine, but it was a project that filled my days with motivation and there I was with all the attitude and the desire to continue expressing and transmitting my love for music.

What are the key pieces of gear or software that you are using when producing music?

I work with Ableton Live, for machines I use Ableton’s Push 2 as a controller and sequencer and I also use a Behringer analog semi-modular synthesizer called Neutron for more sonic versatility .

What is your favourite part of the creative/production process?

I could say that the freedom that music gives me. From the beginning, put the mind to fly, the exploration of sounds, sequences, processes, until the final mix. Everything allows me to give shape to my ideas, to express my feelings, to communicate with my listeners, to transmit emotions and everything without saying a single word.

What is the most memorable response you’ve had to your music?

As a DJ I have had quite a few memorable nights, playing in front of 10,000 people at a festival where the skin bristles from feeling so much energy together; even small Clubs where the euphoria has made me cry with emotion. As for my musical productions, receiving good feedback or having my music played by artists that I admire a lot, is something that never ceases to surprise and delight me greatly.

Outside of music, where do you draw inspiration from?

I find inspiration in everyday life, in the spaces I live in, nature, cities, in the social situation that is currently being experienced in my country. I take advantage of extreme feelings and emotions to get the best out of them.

Tell us about your upcoming releases or projects?

This September comes with 4 releases on different labels. The track I mentioned earlier by MFM Records. Two releases by Argentine labels, Unterwelt and Dissolved Mind.

A track in a V.A. for the Colombian label RaveTop.
